Messaging

Program name: ctxual. Sender: +1 (510) 345-4725. ctxual is a personal email assistant you talk to by text message. It sends one-to-one texts about your own inbox and nothing else.

How you opt in

Two separate things happen at https://ctxual.com:

1. The sign-in code (one text, on request). You enter your mobile number and tap "Text me a code". We text one six-digit code; entering it proves you own the number. This is the only text you receive unless you choose the next step.

2. Recurring texts (optional). Below the button is an unchecked box. Ticking it is how you choose to receive reminders and replies by text. It is optional: you can sign in and use ctxual on the web without it, and you can turn texts on or off later from your account. We record the time you turned them on. The box reads:

If you text our number without having signed up, you receive one reply pointing you to the sign-up page and nothing further. If you have signed up and text the number yourself, we treat that as turning texts on. Texting START, YES or UNSTOP to the number re-subscribes a number that had opted out.

What we send and how often

A sign-in code when you sign in, reminders about emails you owe a reply to or are waiting on, and answers to questions you text about your own mail. Message frequency varies with your email activity, typically a few messages a day at most. No marketing or promotional messages, ever.

Stopping and help

Reply STOP at any time to cancel; you will get one confirmation and nothing more. Reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact the ctxual project on GitHub. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Full details in the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
